Caitlin Kearney

Solicitor

Caitlin is a capable and personable addition to the team at Tyler Tipping & Woods.

From humble beginnings, Caitlin was the first in her family to finish high school or attend university.

During her university studies, Caitlin travelled to Austria to study European Private Law at the University of Salzburg, competed in numerous Moot Court competitions, mentored first year law students and participated in the Supreme Court Internship program.

After completing a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Centre for Law, Caitlin was admitted to practice in both the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia in 2020.

Caitlin’s previous experience as a Paralegal, working in Family Law, Commercial Law and Litigation, has enabled her to develop a strong foundation for her legal career.

Caitlin’s passion for Family Law became apparent when she had the opportunity to spend a few months shadowing Counsel in the Federal Circuit Court at Dandenong. She has an inherent interest in the experiences and wellbeing of others and believes that this is why family law is such a good fit for her. However, Caitlin loves variety and continued learning and is interested in expanding the areas of law that she practices in the future.

Outside of work, Caitlin is often trying a new hobby or skill, reading, or socialising.
